Augustine North, VA
The established golf course community of Augustine North is conveniently located in North Stafford, Virginia, just a few miles west of interstate I-95 South. Stafford County is located about 40 miles south of Washington, D.C., and historically, is best known as being the location of Ferry Farm, the boyhood home of George Washington. Sandstone from Government Island, a Stafford County park, were quarried in the 18th and 19th century for the construction of The White House, the U.S. Capitol building and other historic buildings in Washington, D.C. The recently completed I-95 express lanes make Stafford the perfect home choice for many commuters.
The entrances to the community are all professionally landscaped, well maintained and always abundant with freshly planted flowers from Spring through the early Fall, with the heartier varieties of colorful floral such as pansies reserved for the cooler weather. The main thoroughfare, Monument Drive, is bordered by trees of various kinds, walking trails and is lit at night by well positioned Victorian-style glowing street lamps.
